The Tower of the
Americas is a 750-foot (230-meter) observation tower/restaurant located at
HemisFair Park on the southeastern portion of Downtown San Antonio, Texas,
United States. The tower was designed by San Antonio architect O'Neil Ford and
was built as the theme structure of the 1968 World's Fair, HemisFair '68.
The Tower is
located in the middle of HemisFair Park and has an observation deck that is
accessible by elevator for a fee. In addition, there is also a lounge and
revolving restaurant at the top of the tower that provides panoramic views of
the city.
It provides the
most spectacular view of the Alamo City. Enjoy the gorgeous panorama from the
Tower's revolving Chart House Restaurant, take in the scenery from the
Observation Deck or experience the thrilling 4D Theater Ride. For a taste of

There are two
observation decks. The inner deck is enclosed behind glass windows, The outer
deck has high ceilings with large open-air windows, a plexiglass panel at the
bottom of the window provides safe and easy viewing.
