Tiruvarur Arur Araneri - Sri Achaleswarar Temple
Araneri Achaleswarar Temple is a Hindu temple located in the premises of Thyagaraja Temple in Tiruvarur of Tiruvarur district, Tamil Nadu, India.
Historical name of this place is Arur Araneri. The temple is dedicated to Shiva, as the moolavar presiding deity, in his manifestation as Araneriyappar. His consort, Parvati, is known as Vandarakuzhali. It is one of the shrines of the 275 Paadal Petra Sthalams - Shiva Sthalams glorified in the early medieval Tevaram poems by Tamil Saivite Nayanar Tirunavukkarasar.

the Thiruvarur Thiyagaraja Swamy Temple (87th Paadal Petra Sthalam ).
v Naminandi Adigal, one of the 63
Nayanmars, kept the temple lamp burning with water, when oil supply failed.
v The holy tree is the Pathiri
(Thala Virutcham) and Sangu theertham is the holy spring. This temple is about 2000 years old.
