Park Avenue Trail in Arches National Park
The Park Avenue
Trail is one of the first major attractions within Arches National Park. It is
a one-mile trail that follows the bottom of a canyon at the feet of some of the
park’s gigantic and well-known monoliths.
Park Avenue Trail is a 2 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail
located near Moab, Utah. The trail offers a number of activity options and is
accessible year-round.
From Park Avenue
parking area, the trail descends steeply into a spectacular canyon and
continues down the wash to Courthouse Towers. If you have a shuttle driver, you
can begin at one point and be picked up at the other. For roundtrip hiking,
retrace your steps along the trail rather than walking along the park road.

The Entrada
Sandstone is divided into three members, the Moab Tongue, Slick Rock Memberand
Dewey Bridge Members.
The Three
Gossips, the Courthouse Towers, Queen Nefertiti and Queen Victoria Rock, the
Organ, and the Tower of Babel are all visible from the road as visitors drive
up towards Balanced Rock and Delicate Arch, but there is a large difference in
experience when actually hiking through them. All of these natural wonders are
famous and often photographed.
How To Reach :
Arches National Park is located five miles north of Moab, Utah, along US-191.
Upon entering the park, rangers will give you a map. Follow the park road 2.4
miles where you will turn into the Park Avenue parking area on the left side of
the road.
