Thiruvidaikazhi Murugan Temple
Thiruvidaikazhi ( திருவிடைக்கழி, திரு இடைக்கழி ) is situated in the enroute of Mayruam and Tharangampadi around 6 km from Thirukadaiyur. & 2 Kms west of Thillaiyaadi.
The moolavar, Lord Murugan showers his blessings facing east under ThiruKura tree. A shivalingam is situated at the back of moolvar and a spatika linga is situated in the front. Goddess Devayanai has a separate sannadhi in this shrine.
The sthala puranam says this is the place where the Nichayathaartham (betrothal) was happened for muruga and theivaanai.

Kavadi Attam (காவடி ஆட்டம்) : Kavadi Attam is a dance performed by the devotees during the ceremonial worship of Lord Murugan. The kavadi itself is a physical burden through which the devotees implore for help from Murugan. The kavadi consists of two semicircular pieces of wood or steel which are bent and attached to a cross structure that can be balanced on the shoulders of the devotee. It is often decorated with flowers, peacock feathers (the vehicle of God Murugan) among other things.

Upto thirukadaiyur temple frequent buses are available , from there better to take a auto .

After the var with sura padman, returning lord muruga reduces his var lord. coming near to thirukarukavur goddess parvathi appear to muruga and reuest to reduce anger and to haven. Hence he reduces every one. Along with veerapagu he i returning near thiruvidaikazhi, veerapagu bite vith a poisionoues snake. After treating the veerapagu with juice of Thiru kura leaves, veerapagu survives. Then lord muruga recust veerapagu to return, then he gone dovn to thirukura tree got mukthi from human life.
