The Livermore Hindu Temple has been built to authentic specifications in the best of North and South Indian traditions, and is one of the few Hindu Temples in Northem California that offers comprehensive services for ritualistic worship of Hindu deities (Homas, Abhishekas, Archanas, etc). 

In early 1993, the Temple enclosure was completed, with the construction of a roof and installation of sprinklers, a sound system, etc. In 1997, the Assembly Hall adjoining the main Temple was built complete with kitchen and dining facilities, a “Kalyana Mantapam,” (Assembly Hall) and an enclosed promenade. In September 1999, the shilpi work was completed and the interior and exterior walls were cleaned, scrubbed and painted, and the Temple facade has become more beautiful than ever before.

The Shiva Vishnu Temple has evolved into a permanent feature of the Northern California landscape, promoting Hindu religion and culture and providing a sanctum for human beings of all creeds. The Temple is a shining example of what a community could accomplish collectively in order to sustain its religious and cultural roots.

The Murugan temple was originally established in a small wood framed house in San Francisco, California, way back in 1957, by an American born Hindu guru, Sivaya Subramuniya Swami. It may have been the first Hindu Temple to be opened in America that was beyond the scope of the various Vedanta centers that existed at that time.

Offering Pujas to murtis of Ganesha, Muruga and Shiva, it was founded on the traditions of Saiva Siddhanta and known as the Palaniswami Sivan Temple. It quickly became a popular site for the ever growing populace of newly arriving Hindus, some of whom personally knew of the Sage from Sri Lanka, Yoga Swami  who initiated the American Guru. grow over the years, and on traditional festival days, the small temple could hardly accommodate the crowd of devotees. In 1988, to better facilitate the Hindu community, the temple was moved to a larger site in Concord, CA. The site was chosen due to availability and the fact that it had always been a place of worship.

Submarine - USS Blueback (SS-581)

A submarine is a watercraft capable of independent operation underwater. It differs from a submersible, which has more limited underwater capability. The term submarine most commonly refers to a large crewed autonomous vessel. However, historically or colloquially, submarine can also refer to medium-sized or smaller vessels (midget submarines, wet subs), remotely operated vehicles or robots.

USS Blueback (SS-581) is a decommissioned Barbel-class submarine formerly in the United States Navy. She was the second Navy submarine named for a form of the rainbow or steelhead trout found only in Lake Crescent on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington state. The fish lives in deep water and is bluish black along its upper sides and whitish underneath.

She was the last non-nuclear submarine to join the United States Navy and was the final conventionally powered submarine to be decommissioned, leaving the United States Navy with a fully nuclear submarine fleet.

The temples of three sakthi's (Tri Sakthi) are located near Chennai. It is considered auspicious to get darshan of all three sakthis one after the other on the same day, especially on a full moon day & if possible on a full moon day which falls on a Friday.

The Sakthi to be visited first, early in the morning is Thiruvudai Amman - Ichchaa Sakthi (the devi who will fulfill devotees wishes).

The Sakthi to be visited second, in the afternoon is Vadivudai Amman - Gnaana Sakthi (the devi who will bless us with Gananam - facing south)

The Sakthi to be visited third, in the evening is Kodiyidai Amman - Kriyaa Sakthi (the Devi who assists us in all our actions).

Route : 

Melur: Around 3 km away from the Minjur railway station. Local trains from Chennai Central goes to Minjur in around an hours time.
Buses are also available from CMBT, Broadway etc to Minjur, but they are very infrequent. When going by bus to Minjur, there is a bus stop at Melur which comes before Minjur. From the bus stop, the temple is around 1 km away. From the Minjur railway station, there are shared autorickshaws to Melur bus stop.

The Thyagarajar - Vadivudai Amman Temple is located at Therady bus stop in Thiruvottiyur High Road (T. H. Road), Chennai. The Therady bus stop is around 2 km from Thiruvottiyur bus terminus. Frequent bus available from paris , CMBT to Tiruvotriyur.

The Masilamaneeswarar - Kodiyidai Amman Temple is located in Thirumullaivoyal, Chennai (Near Avadi), after passing the Pachiamman temple in Kulakkarai Steet (coming from the main road bus stop).

Seattle Boeing Tour is located in Mukilteo, Washington, 25 miles north of Seattle. Public tours of Boeing's Everett factory are available seven days a week. The Everett, Wash., facility is home to the 747, 767, 777 and 787 Dreamliner production lines.

During the tour of the world's largest building by volume (472,000,000 cubic feet or 13,385,378 cubic meters), visitors will see airplanes being built for our worldwide base of airline customers.

The museum includes a 28,000-square-foot gallery containing static and interactive exhibits and displays as well as a 240-seat theater, cafe and shops.

The Boeing Tour covers the Boeing Everett Factory, where we can view airplanes in all stages of construction and testing. The factory is the location for production of the Boeing 747, 767, 777, and 787. The tour also includes the main assembly building, which holds the record in Guinness World Records for the largest building in the world by volume. It is 472 million cu. ft (13.3 million m³) and covers 98.3 acres (398,000 m²).

Exhibits at the Future of Flight Aviation Center include:

Boldt Castle, located on Heart Island in the Thousand Islands ( Alexandria Bay )of the Saint Lawrence River, along the northern border of New York State, is a major landmark and tourist attraction in its region. Heart Island is part of the Town of Alexandria, in Jefferson County.

Boldt Castle in the 1000 Islands Region of the St. Lawrence River stands as a remembrance of the magnificence of a bygone era… a monument of love on Heart Island of George C. Boldt for his wife Louise. The George C. Boldt Yacht House on nearby Wellesley Island is unique, warranting a visit by means of a shuttle boat connecting it to Heart Island. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

Two other buildings on the island are the Power House and the Alster Tower; both are open to the public. The Power House was built to hold a generator to supply the island with power, and now is more of a museum of how electric power was obtained in the early 1900s, as well as a few stories of getting tools and equipment to Heart Island during the castle's construction. The Alster Tower was purposely constructed with slanting and uneven walls, ceilings, and roofs.
