The Las Vegas Strip is an approximately 4.2-mile (6.8 km) stretch of Las Vegas Boulevard South in Clark County, Nevada. Unknown to many travelers outside of Nevada, The Strip is not located within the City of Las Vegas but it passes through the unincorporated towns of Paradise and Winchester, which are south of the Las Vegas city limits. Most of the Strip has been designated an All-American Road, and has a unique distinction of being a scenic route during nighttime.

Many of the largest hotel, casino and resort properties in the world are located on the Las Vegas Strip. 17 of the world's 25 largest hotels by room count are on the Strip, with a total of over 152,000 rooms.One of the most visible aspects of Las Vegas' cityscape is its use of dramatic architecture. The modernization of hotels, casinos, restaurants, and residential high-rises on the Strip has established the city as one of the most popular destinations for tourists.

Casinos : Some of the world's largest hotels and casinos are located on the Strip. These include the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino (2,084 rooms), Las Vegas Hilton (3,174 rooms) and The Mirage (3,044 rooms). When the first buildings were built, back in the mid-twentieth century, large hotels and small boutique ones coexisted. However, resorts have now taken over the Strip. Smaller properties either closed or moved downtown. The Mirage, built in 1989, is considered the first mega-resort built directly on the Strip. It has featured a casino, accommodations and live entertainment since its opening. The live entertainment includes a live volcano.

Ø  A 1910 law made it illegal to gamble in Las Vegas. The Nevada Legislature later approved a legalized gambling bill in 1931.

Grand Canyon Sky Walk : It is a construction of a man-made marvel suspended over one of Mother Nature's greatest wonders a horseshoe-shaped, glass-floored bridge that allows visitors to walk where eagles fly. The Grand Canyon Skywalk, formed from 1 million pounds of steel and glass, perched 4,000 feet above the Colorado River. 

Skywalk transparent walkway will allow Grand Canyon visitors from around the world the ability to step out over the edge of a cliff and look 4,000 feet down. 100 mph wind gusts were designed into the attraction’s ability to withstand.

This glass, steel and u-shaped structure is located on the Hualapai Indian Reservation in Arizona.

The two day move of the million pound structure will be done at the cliff’s edge, 60 feet over the Grand Canyon. The walkway will be welded to huge anchors of high strength steel imbedded deep into the bedrock. The attraction in Arizona is projected to open on March 28, 2007.

Personal property is not allowed on the Sky walk as well. Items must remain on the floor of the visitor center or can be stored in a locker for no charge.  ( If things may fall down in the glass and make damages )

The Grand Canyon is a steep-sided canyon carved by the Colorado River in the United States in the state of Arizona. It is contained within and managed by Grand Canyon National Park, the Hualapai Tribal Nation, and the Havasupai Tribe.  It is considered one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World.

Why Grand Canyon is a natural wonder?   

Because it was created by the natural forces of wind and water erosion over a long period of time. Nearly two billion years of the Earth's geological history has been exposed as the Colorado River and its tributaries cut their channels through layer after layer of rock while the Colorado Plateau was uplifted. While the specific geologic processes and timing that formed the Grand Canyon are the subject of debate by geologists, recent evidence suggests the Colorado River established its course through the canyon at least 17 million years ago. Since that time, the Colorado River continued to erode and form the canyon to its present-day configuration. Grand Canyon is classified as West Rim, North Rim, South Rim.

Ø  The Grand Canyon is 277 miles (446 km) long

Ø  The width ranges from 4 to 18 miles (6.4 to 29 km)

Ø  The depth is over one mile (1.83 km)  (6,000 feet / 1,800 metres)

We have booked the package tour in Papillon Grand Canyon Helicopters. In this package includes the Airplane (17 seater ), Helicopter and Colorado River Boat Tours . 

They arranged a cab to pick up in hotel to Boulder City, Nevada. From their 40 mins fly to Grand Canyon  in Mini Airplane . on the way we saw the Hoover Dam in Eagle View. once we reached grand canyon we went for the 30 mins boating in  Colorado River. After the boating we went for the Helicopter tour to see the canyon depth over 4000 feet. Its excellent view from the chopper . 

And finally we dropped in the Eagle Point to see the SKY WALK. The trip was awesome and we explored lot in the Grand Canyon and it gives the mind thought to come again to canyon.

It was 100% worth it, and a great way to spend a day while visiting Vegas!"

Grand Canyon Boat Rides : We can experience the magnitude of the Grand Canyon from below, on a boat ride down the mighty Colorado River. It's a truly unique view, cruising (or rafting) down the river past towering sandstone cliffs and world-famous geological formations. 

A pontoon boat ride is a great way to get a close-up view of the canyon walls and to escape the crowds and commotion at the rim. White-water rafting tours also availbale in the Colorado River Grand Canyon .

Kolli Hills or Kolli Malai is a small mountain range located in central Tamil Nadu in Namakkal district of India. The mountains are about 1000 to 1300 m in height and cover an area of approximately 280 km².

The Kolli Hills has 70 hair pin bends to reach the top of the hills (Some are more steep). The Kolli Hills are part of the Eastern Ghats, which is a mountain range that runs mostly parallel to the east coast of South India. The entire range of the Kolli Hills gets a religious importance because of the Arapaleeswarar Temple and Agaya Gangai Waterfalls. Such is the importance of this temple that the ancient Tamil literature speaks of this temple in glorious terms.

Arappaleeswarar Temple in Kolli Hills in Tamil Nadu is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Set a midst beautiful hills and lush greenery, the temple is believed to have been built during the 1st or 2nd century AD by Valvil Ori . The Kollimalai shiva temple is very ancient one and it dates back to the period of Appar, who has referred to it in his Kshetra Kovai Tiruttandakam.

The region was ruled by Valvil Ori (வல்வில் ஓரி) around 200 A.D., who is praised as one of the seven great philanthropists (கடை ஏழு வள்ளல்) of ancient Tamil Nadu.
